RN Interview Report
I selected the RN for my interview by choosing an RN I know wellspring because I thought her input would be helpful, we knew for each one other, so we were on a friend basis, as well I felt that by knowing the person I could cogitate and talk to her more. The setting for the interview was via telephone because she is always fussy working since shes a new nurse and because Im busy here at school.
The RN I interviewed started her education by taking general education classes at St. Charles Community College. She took Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, Nutrition, Biology, and some Psychology classes. She express that A&P is very important for a nurse learner to grasp because in nursing it never goes away. She said that correspondence the details of A&P and how the body works makes your nursing classes a little easier to grasp.
When she started taking her core nursing classes at Hannibal-LaGrange, she said that that was when the real reality of college hit her. Her first semester at Hannibal-LaGrange was devoted to the Fundamentals of Nursing which are the basics. You learn how things in the body are supposed to work.



Then she said each semester they concentrated on certain things: Pediatrics, OB, Mental Health, Pharmacology, and and then they went done each body system in Medial Surgical.
The RN I interviewed also started her skills lab then. She would get a lesson, then lay out, then she would have time to study, have a compose test, and she would have to go one and one into her skill stigmatize off lab and demonstrate the skill back to her instructor. She said that skill started off with basics like vital signs, lesion care, colostomy care, tracheostomy care, chest tubes, starting Ivs, accessing central lines, suctioning, displace in foley catheters, etc. She said that along with normal class, tests, demo skills and tests, she had clinical calculations.
