I reckon that Polonius has beneficial intentions for his children, but when it comes to parenting I believe that he lacks some skills and is far too selfish to be a good father. In my eyes a good father should not parcel out somewhat his amicable rest when it comes to dealing with his childrens happiness, that should be the last thing on his mind. Polonius proves that he worrys more about(predicate) his social standing then his children.
