Alison Bechdel may indeed have finally cease her longing in writing and drawing this wonderful experience. Bechdels refreshful takes us on a time hopping journey with her story as it pertains to her closeted homosexual, or perhaps bisexual, emotionally irrelevant father. The storms, the sex, the vacations, the fireworks, the ships, all of it is a historical retelling of one lesbian womans journey to adulthood.
I tried so very hard to find blemish in the review I read of this book, to find something to dissent with, but I can not. It would seem that George Gene Gustines and I learn wholeheartedly on this wonderful book.
