In this session with Paul, on that point was a sheet on the wall objectives. Paul asked us to define the word objectives, a goal or an aim. We at that placefore played some games and focused on our objectives, to fill an clear chair, but we werent managing to do it, we just couldnt stop our objective. We then went into the other room, and Paul said that he was vent to hide ten pommels, and that whoever was to find it, could keep it. Immediately bothone was excited, everyone locomote out the door because we wanted the money so badly. subsequently searching flat out looking in every nook and cranny for 5 minutes, it was revealed to us that the ten pound was actually in Pauls back pocket. He then asked us, What changed? From the other game to this one, how had we changed? Our speed had increased, the determination was at that place, and we BELIEVED that there was ten pound in that room, so therefore we acted sincerely. This showed us that as our characters in blood wedding we have to genuinely believe in our objectives throughout the play for it to be believable. We mustiness treat the objectives of our characters as our own and think about how we would go about achieving those objectives.
Wednesday 2nd February 2011 Log Book
Today we did Hot sit down with the characters we were auditioning for. Each soul would go up in there character and we would ask them questions about themselves. As each person got up and became their character it was really interesting to see diametrical peoples perception of the characters. Different body verbiage for each different interpretation, of course each was still similar.
