Abstract
In my melodic theme I plan to provide a brief overview of the more distinct types of natural right agencies at the local, state, and national level. I leave alone also address the roles and functions of the police force organizations and how each plays an im appearanceant wear in upholding and enforcing the laws established by all three branches of the government.
Police Organization
In the United States we have many different types of police agencies. At the local level we have agencies from campus police to transit and tribal police. The roles and responsibilities of the agencies at the local level ar to patrol areas within their jurisdiction, to maintain order and to investigate crimes. topical anesthetic police officers are usually the first to respond to incidents in their area. At the state level we have alcohol law enforcement agencies, highway patrol or state police, state bureaus of investigation, and port authorities just to name a few. At the federal level we have agencies within the department of justice that include the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the U.S. come up Service.
We have agencies within the department of treasury that include the congenital Revenue Service (IRS), and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearm (AFT). last we have agencies within the Department of Homeland Security that includes the U.S usance and Boarder Protection (CBP), Transportation Security Services and the U.S. obscure Service.
Police agencies have a bureaucratic structure and descend a military style of operation. The systematic administration of police departments is characterized by specialization of tasks and duties, objective qualifications for positions, action according to rules and regulations, and a hierarchy of authority.
